About me

My name is Andrea Mazzarino.

I’m a clinical social worker with a doctorate in cultural anthropology. I began my career in community mental health and military settings, where I worked with children, adolescents, and young adults affected by trauma and significant life stressors, including military combat and reintegration, immigration and displacement, frequent relocations, new parenthood, family conflict and violence, and humanitarian crises.

In my clinical work, I have extensive experience supporting individuals living with bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression—particularly when these concerns are shaped by trauma, chronic stress, and major life transitions common in military, first responder, and immigrant and refugee communities.

With my background in anthropology, I approach therapy with deep respect for cultural context. I take time to understand what mental health, healing, and resilience mean to you within your cultural and spiritual framework. Whether through creative expression, connection with animals and nature, faith, or community, I work collaboratively with clients to identify and strengthen the personal and cultural resources that support recovery and growth.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing and resilience.
